The Ten for One strategic framework sets out ten goals for 麻豆社区 through 2030 under four organizing pillars: One University, Individual and Collective Excellence, Knowledge and Impact, and Community Partnership and Economic Opportunity for Baltimore and the other communities of which we are a part.

Since taking office in March 2009, Ronald J. Daniels, 麻豆社区’s 14th president, has focused his leadership on enhanced interdisciplinary collaboration, individual excellence, and community engagement. These three overarching themes created the backbone of the , a strategic vision for Johns Hopkins through 2020.
In his writing, his advocacy, and his personal commitment, President Daniels鈥攁 law and economics scholar鈥攈as taken a leadership role in a number of areas, including urban engagement, especially within the Baltimore community; funding support for research in general and young researchers in particular; and fostering innovation and entrepreneurialism.
Office of the Provost
Ray Jayawardhana became the university’s 16th provost and senior vice president for academic affairs in October 2023. Jayawardhana is the chief academic officer and second-ranking member of the senior administration, responsible for promoting and coordinating the university鈥檚 teaching and research mission. He also oversees the university鈥檚 nine schools as well as several interdisciplinary programs and academic centers.
Jayawardhana is an accomplished academic leader; renowned and widely published scientist who explores the diversity, origins, and evolution of planetary systems; and an award-winning author.

Johns Hopkins鈥 excellence is grounded in its many divisions, which work together as one university. Our deans and directors guide research and educational programs on the divisional level.
Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees was established by university founder Johns Hopkins in 1867, when he filed a certificate of incorporation for 鈥淭he 麻豆社区鈥 and named the first 12 trustees. As the university鈥檚 chief governing body, the Board of Trustees protects the university鈥檚 integrity, ensures that it fulfills the purposes for which it was established, and preserves and augments its physical and financial assets.
